AkeebaBackup
- Description:
-
AkeebaBackup (formerly JoomlaPack) is an award-winning Joomla backup component with a simple mission: create a site backup that can be restored on any Joomla-capable server. It creates a full backup of your site in a single archive. The archive contains all the files, a database snapshot and a restoration script (derived from the standard Joomla installer). The backup and restore process is AJAX or plain JavaScript powered, designed to avoid server timeouts, even with multi-gigabyte sites! Alternatively, you can make a backup of only your database.
Key Features
- One click full site backup. JoomlaPack backs up your site files and your site database in one go. It can even backup non-Joomla! scripts and their MySQL databases along with your Joomla! site.
- Robust operation. JoomlaPack will chunk the backup operation in order to avoid the server timing out, even with multi-gigabyte sites.
- Restoration made easy. In a nutshell, all you have to do is upload two files: Kickstart and your backup archive. Kickstart will take care of everything else, including getting rid of itself and the backup archive when the restoration procedure is over.
- Rich collection of filters. JoomlaPack is able to exclude individual files and directories, or database tables.
- Unattended and remote backup modes. With JoomlaPack's "front-end backup mode" and/or CRON scripts manager you can schedule backup to happen automatically.
- Easy backup administration. JoomlaPack keeps a log of each and every backup attempt you made, allowing you to download, delete or restore the backup.
- Active and proactive development. We don't stop evolving this software. Our mean release time for stable versions (with major enhancements) is only 3-4 months.
